Frequently Asked QuestionsDo you accept commissions for garments other than wedding attire? As a dressmaker and designer I manufacture Special Occasion wear, Wedding attire, Ballgowns, Cocktail dresses/suits, Everyday Wear / General Fashion garments, Ladies Tailored Suits and Mother of the Bride. How long does it take? Expect to need three fittings for each bridesmaid and five or more for a bride, usually at weekly intervals. Fittings will be arranged to suit you, during evenings and weekends if required. Lead times are typically two months for a bridesmaid and six months for a bride. I take on a limited number of commissions therefore lead times may be longer. How much does it cost to have a dress made? Since each gown is made to your personal specifications it is difficult to generalise, but starting prices (exclusive of fabrics and haberdashery) are shown below -
Beadwork and embroidery will add significantly to the cost of a gown. How do I pay for my dress? You pay a 20% deposit with your order and the balance on delivery. Do you have a show room where we can try things on? No. I work to commission and each dress is made from scratch. Since styles vary so widely it is recommended that you have an idea of what you want before making an appointment. Do I need an appointment? Yes! Phone us for an appointment on 0118 969 3598 or see the Contact us page for other methods. |
